As a member of South Central Electric you can expect reliable electrical service at cost effective rates. You can also receive certain extras at no charge.
- South Central Electric Association is a local business with offices in St. James and Jeffers. We are a part of the local community and participate in local affairs.
- South Central Electric is interested in the economic development of this area. We participate in community activities and local committees that aid the economic vitality of the counties we serve.
- South Central Electric wants to hear from you. If you have a complaint or suggestion, we want to hear it. We will not be able to resolve every complaint to your satisfaction, but we will do our best to satisfy you.
- South Central Electric has various programs to bring you a lower cost for electricity. Load Management programs:
- Water Heating
- Heat Pumps
- Irrigation
- Standby Generators
- Storage and Dual Space Heating
- South Central Electric offers rebates to help with the installation of electric "Energy Star" appliances.
- Energy experts are available and will be happy to help you plan any electrical use you have in mind.
- You can pay your yearly electrical cost in equal monthly amounts through the Budget Billing Plan.
- The Connections is a monthly newsletter to keep you informed on Cooperative activities. It also includes articles on energy saving ideas, national and state issues, recipes, and household tips.
- Each year South Central Electric sponsors an Energy Tour.
- South Central Electric sends one youth each year on the Washington D.C. Youth Tour. These people are selected from an essay contest. Also, some monetary prizes are awarded.
- Energy use analyses are offered to all members. Plug-in meters to test appliance use are available, along with help in analyzing the results of the test.
- Energy evaluations are available upon request.
- Safety demonstrations are available at no cost to any club or group.
- South Central Electric has a central air conditioning cycling program to keep the peak loads down. You could be eligible for a rebate each year.
For your convenience we have E-Z Pay, an automatic bill payment program. We will deduct the amount of your bill from your bank account automatically on the due date.
