Quality Install Program
The Quality Install Program was designed for the air conditioner rebates and air to air heat pump rebates. The efficiency of these units is impacted by the proper duct size and the proper air flow. When you purchase an air conditioner or air to air heat pump you will see information stating that this unit is a 13 or higher SEER rating. (SEER stands for Seasonal Energy Efficiency Rating.) If your duct size or the airflow is not correct you really don't get a more efficient use from the energy. Dealers that are on the quality installation list are required to do special tests to determine the real efficiency and the true cost of what it takes to operate that unit.
